When you go to a day spa, what do you like to have done?

I'm in my forties and have never been to a day spa. I now have a gift certificate for one and I'd like to know a little bit about what to expect when I get there.

Any practical advice and tips will be greatly appreciated, and the best answer gets 10 points! When you go to a day spa, what do you like to have done?
facial and massage are my favorite things. dont bother with a mani/pedi because you could get that somewhere else for cheap. a sea salt scrub or mud bath are always nice. look up the spa where you have the certificate and see what they offer to see what sounds most appealing to you. my rule is that i always get something i cant easily find elsewhere. When you go to a day spa, what do you like to have done?
It depends on the quality of the spa and your personal favourites. Personally I prefer the facials and massage parts because nail polish will last only a few days before chipping so paying for a manicure/pedicure seems like a waste (to me), but getting it without polish will be cheaper (no need to waste the gift card, haha) and you still get soft, smooth hands/feet and can just paint your nails yourself when you get home.

My favourites: upper back massage, green tea/mud baths, and pretty much any facial.

Hope I helped!

Personally I go for a full body package. Salt scrub, facial, full body massage and whatever else the salon includes. But this is an expensive option. If your voucher is only for, say, $80 you could get a massage %26amp; a facial. Or a pedicure %26amp; manicure. Or you can pay the extra for a full pamper package. They're worth it.
