I want to have a spa at home (for a day) have any ideas on what i should do for it?I want to have a spa day at home what should I do?
Here's a mini-pedicure idea, I do it at home often:
1. I plug the bathtub drain when I shower, so my feet get a 10-20 minute soak.
2. Sitting on the edge of the tub, I scrub off the dead skin with a pumice stone.
3. I wash and rinse my feet and then dry them.
4. I push back my cuticles with a cuticle stick, and scrape them off (some people trim them).
5. I trim, file and buff my nails (I use the nail file on the tops of my big toes to smooth them and prep them for polish).
6. I keep clear polish on my toes all the time, and paint them with a colour for special occasions.
7. Wait until after you apply nail polish to moisturise, otherwise the nail polish won't stick. I do this about twice a week, and it really doesn't take very long, maybe an extra 10 minutes compared to 45 for a regular pedicure.
Sometimes I put a bunch of moisturiser on and put a pair of old socks over my feet to let them 'cook' in the moisturiser a bit.I want to have a spa day at home what should I do?
1) Give yourself a facial, manicure %26amp; pedicure (even if you don't apply polish). You can also deep condition your hair and/or whiten your teeth w/ an at home product.
One good homemade mask recipe:
1/3 cup plain whole milk yogurt, 1tbsp. honey %26amp; a bit of ground oatmeal. Apply a layer %26amp; leave it on for 10 mins. Rinse off w/ tepid water.
Yogurt - loosens dead skin cells
Honey - humectant w/ anti-bacterial properties
Oatmeal - optional; soothes %26amp; helps remove dry skin
Face mask recipe for oily skin: crush up 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water or aloe to make mask.
For combination/oily skin: apply thin layer of plain milk of magnesia. Let dry for 15 minutes or so. Rinse w/ tepid water %26amp; face cloth. This helps tighten pores %26amp; get rid of excess oil.
You can make a paste of baking soda %26amp; water to make a face scrub. Be sure to rub it GENTLY over your face to remove dead, flaky skin.

For pedicure, you can add 2 cups of whole milk to the soaking basin. The milk fat will moisturize %26amp; the lactic acid will help slough off dead skin.

You can make a homemade skin scrub by mixing olive oil or baby oil w/ sugar or salt to make a paste. Be sure to rinse well - esp. if you use it on your feet!
2) Set up your favorite songs on your I-Pod or CD players. Have your favorite movies on hand.
3) Make yourself some healthy treats - like herbal iced tea, sparkling water, a fresh salad, your favorite fruits cut up w/ vanilla yogurt for dipping. You can also chill some water %26amp; add orange, lemon %26amp; cucumber slices for flavor. Mint works well too.
4) Make sure your place is tidy. Get yourself some fresh flowers or light a few candles. Wear your favorite comfy clothes. Have fresh towels %26amp; your favorite body products ready in the bathroom.
5) Turn off your cell phone, land line - let calls go to voice mail. Stay off the computer. Avoid news channels.
